Moonlight Castle Details

Moonlight Castle overflows with enchanting activities for guests, from its deepest dungeons to its top turrets.

Moonlight Court, the grand central throne room under lunar stained glass, is host to an exceptional Disney Princess meet ‘n’ greet.  All of the many beloved Disney Princesses gather here to hold royal gatherings, and simply to unwind. Guests will discover themed chambers to each featured Princess, chambers which overflow with interactive props from their assorted adventures.  Magical stained glass windows not only depict the Princesses, they come to life with state-of-the-art projections and talk directly to guests! Last (and of course far from least) are the live one-on-one Princess greetings presented with all the regal pomp and circumstance one would expect.

The Alchemy Labs lie down below Moonlight Castle’s foundation.  This is a highly-themed walkthrough letting guests explore the castle’s deeper corridors.  The centerpiece is Yen Sid’s laboratory where he combines strange ethereal ingredients and creates the magic which makes Fantasyland fly.  A crisscrossing labyrinth of side atriums rings out around these labs, with window chambers looking down onto the mainland countryside floating past below.  Amazing dome screens create these effects, and simple wind machines add to the sensation.

Eagle Tower sits high, high up in the castle’s highest peaks, providing guests with an alternate walkthrough experience.  They will cross open-air drawbridges, ascend spiraling towers, and encounter chambers themed to Disney’s Fantasia and its countless lovable characters.  The highest tower - discovered way above the Moonlight Court below - is a tangle of wooden rafters and bellringer ropes.  Here guests find a massive nest, home to an elephant-sized animatronic Golden Eagle - Disneyland Toronto’s answer to Paris’s dungeon dragon.  The majestic Eagle, guardian of Moonlight Tower, nests peacefully and attends to its hatchlings.

Ethereal Hall is a sumptuous regal banquet hall where the Princesses relax following an audience in Moonlight Hall.  The grand hall sits under a mystical perpetual night sky which grows like a haze from the candlelight chandeliers above.  The Moon forever crosses overhead.  Its lunar beams illuminate a filling family-friendly feast served table service style.  Foods consist of fine French-Canadian cuisine.  The meal is complemented by roaming troubadour musicians, and even by “Character Meal” encounters with the Disney Princesses.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the castle’s ground floor is the expected, classic Disney salon.  Here little boys and girls both become royalty for a day and dress up in the fullest finery of their favorite characters.  Cast members appear as “personal Fairy Godmothers” as they cheerily lead young guests through a magic makeover - from enchanted mirrors displaying costumes, to singing bird assistants to pull back curtains so that parents can enjoy the “grand reveal” of their made up munchkins, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has it all!

Lodestone Treasury rounds out Moonlight Castle’s offerings with a simple treasure room shop.  Here guests will find character-themed merchandise for themselves, all on display alongside heraldry, suits of armor, and other medieval treasures.  The shop’s centerpiece is the lodestone, a glowing enchanted gemstone on a pillar which - rumor has it - provides Moonlight Castle and all of Fantasyland with the magic needed to stay afloat in the clouds.
