Welcome to a fantasy world high in the skies!  The magical floating continent of Fantasyland is an enchanting storybook world hidden in the clouds.  Thanks to the incomparable magic of sorcerer Yen Sid, many of Disney’s most beloved fairy tale kingdoms have been transported to this mesmerizing arial realm.

Here, protected and preserve high above the earth, you’ll find favorite places like Arendelle, Neverland, Corona, and more.  Thanks to the magic of Disney’s Imagineers, everything feels truly “blue sky.” Guests explore elevated pathways which sit like bridges over crystal clear skies below.  Outer projection wall screens depict blue skies, picture-perfect cumulonimbus clouds, flying birds, and other high-in-the-sky wonders. Mist machines create puffy cloud below guests’ feet.  Waterfalls tumble down the sides of magically magnetic moving sky islands, water dissipating into the ether below.

As the day progresses, this enclosed, wholly-controlled environment changes with gorgeous new lighting and projections.  A sun-drenched day gives way to a painterly sunset and then to a moonlit night. The Moon overpowers Fantasyland, dwarfing the skies overhead as befits our Moonlight Castle. Though no matter what time of day it is, the moon can be seen in the sky, even if it is faint.

Much like Main Street, this land is actually mostly all on the second level. The bottom level is used primarily to hide showbuildings for ride (meaning the visible facades can appear to be rather small for theming purposes.) as well as to make it seem as if the various islands Yensid has gathered here are actual floating islands. With subtle elevation changes between the islands  to cement the illusion. The upper level is mostly used for scale purposes and to make the environment feel more grand and open air.
