Welcome to the first land you see at Disneyland Toronto- Main Street by the Sea!

This version of Main Street U.S.A. is different than the others. While still representing classic Americana, this version represents the American waterfront cities rather than the small towns in Missouri. Specifically, seaside tourist towns like Ocean City, MD (or Beach City from Steven Universe which is inspired by Ocean City and similar towns around the Delmarva Peninsula.

As guests enter the park, they are greeted by a very different take on Main Street's layout. Instead of a straight line, the street makes an oval around wide indoor lake. The sight of Moonlight Castle looms across the lake (more on the castle in the Fantasyland section). Guests can take either the left or right path around the lake.

This Main Street is a bit bigger than many classic ones as it is made to be more of a full land instead of just an entry area/shopping district. It will feature signature attractions, shows, and much more! Being at the entrance, high capacity options are favored to absorb crowds as the enter or after nighttime shows.

The entire walking area and entrances to attractions is on the second level making this the flattest land in the park. The bottom level is used for backstage storage, the tank for the lake, and showbuildings for attractions (allowing the true height of Tower of Terror to be hidden will really add to the other worldly feel for instance). The upper level is left mostly open allowing the castle and the projected sky to have more space to feel more open.

The main pathway connecting Main Street to Adventureland is sloped down to give the illusion of descending into cave. Similarly, the main pathway connecting Main Street to Tomorrowland is sloped up to give the illusion of ascending.

It is perpetually nighttime on Main Street. The moon shining down on the town no matter the time of day. The moon will be a recurring theme throughout the park thematically and visually tying all the lands together. As we learned in Small World, "There's just one moon."
