Soarin’ Over Fantasy sums up our Fantasyland with a magical flight over all the worlds of fantasy!  It is found far from Moonlight Castle upon a free-floating granite monolith. The ride sits underneath a mystical oak tree whose leaves appear as multicolored butterflies.  Guests queue underneath the massive roots, through a glowworm cavern, and into a sorcerer’s workshop filled with artifacts of flight. Dumbo’s feather, Aladdin’s Magic Carpet, broomsticks, umbrellas, et cetera.

This latest iteration of Disney’s fan-favorite Soarin’ attraction trades out a real world tour for an enchanted flight over fantastic Disney realms, realized with state-of-the-art CGI.  Guests board clockpunk gliders, not unlike DisneySea’s Soarin’, and instantly sail out from Fantasyland’s floating isles into the cloudy unknown.

They glide over countless settings - Over Neverland dodging cannonballs from Hook’s ship.  Over Agrabah, feeling the hot desert winds. Over Moana’s tropical paradise Motunui, complete with a soothing pineapple scent.  Over chilly Arendelle, hip and happening Zootopia, neon San Fransokyo, wild Pride Rock, and more. The finale skims guests’ feet just across the waters of Main Street before rising back up through the misty cloud layer and through Moonlight Castle perched atop the thunderclouds!

It’s a Small World dominates the rolling, levitating countryside far from Soarin’.  While that ride united the fantasy realms, this beloved boat ride unites all the children of the world!  Mary Blair’s classic facade is finally reunited with a 1964 World’s Fair sibling, Rolly Crump’s Tower of the Four Winds.  This kinetic mobile ties Small World back to Fantasyland’s sky theming.

This is an upgraded and high-tech Small World.  Guests enjoy their boat voyage across the world on Disney’s patented (and never-used) omnimover boats.  These amphibious omnimovers cross both land and water, improving capacity and reducing square footage.  Familiar ride scenery - crossing countless continents and countries - is plussed as well, with more projections and animations incorporated into the classic show scenes.  (Think of how Shanghai Disneyland improved on Peter Pan’s Flight.) Even the Sherman Brothers’ ubiquitous song gets an upgraded new recording orchestrated by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Peter Pan’s Flight!  What Fantasyland would be complete without it?  (Apparently Hong Kong’s.) Disneyland Toronto takes this timeless flying dark ride further than ever before!  High-capacity new flying pirate ships are able to rotate and change speed like a suspended family-friendly version of Indiana Jones Adventure.  This amazing ships carry guests out over the night skies of London and out to whimsical Neverland alongside Peter, TInkerbell, and the Lost Boys.  Immersive dome screens like those on Shanghai Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean make this version of Peter Pan’s Flight an amazing new feather in Imagineering’s cap!

Mary Poppins Carousel, like most of the classic flat rides in this Fantasyland, sits atop a tiny floating island in the ether above Moonlight Castle’s inner courtyard.  Found up on a third level and accessed by immaculately carved stone parapets, this Carousel boasts an incomparable location.  It is styled after the charming carousel from Disney’s Mary Poppins, set amidst willows and bucolic topiaries.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant also flies high above Fantasyland’s lower levels.  This added aerial element just adds to Dumbo’s classic flying sensation.  Uniquely, this version of the flying spinner sits suspended (invisibly) from the land’s ceiling.  The elephants sail below their loading platform, down into the open air space of Moonlight Castle’s inner courtyard!

Rapunzel’s Sky Lanterns is an all-new Fantasyland flat ride themed to the modern classic Tangled.  Glowing, floating sky lanterns gently rise and drop in a green glen before Rapunzel’s tower.  “I See the Light” provides musical accompaniment. Rapunzel’s Sky Lanterns uses the same all-access ride system as DisneySea’s Jumpin’ Jellyfish.  Like that ride’s bobbing jellyfish, the sight of red candle lit lanterns flying in the breeze must be seen in person.

The Fantasyland courtyard’s upper levels contain several village facades.  The whole western wing resembles the Beast’s chateau from Beauty & the Beast.  A wide floorspace within provides access to several elements, including Mrs. Potts’ Tea Party.  This is a new “spin” on the classic Mad Tea Party, retheming it to the living teacups from Beast’s chateau.  Guests spin around in teacups as always, now on a banquet hall floor circling an animatronic Mrs. Potts and her son Chip.  Songs like “Be Our Guest” and “Human Again” provide a festive atmosphere.

Belle’s Enchanted Adventure is a new C-ticket dark ride housed in the same chateau space as the Tea Party....like the doubling-up of Alice rides at the original Disneyland.  This ride sends guests on an adventure through Beast’s castle upon Maurice’s mechanized wood-chopping cart. Belle greets guests for a retelling of how she fell in love with Beast.  The Beast’s magic mirror provides the enchantment needed to faithfully recreate scenes from the movie in a mesmerizing new context.

Frozen Sled Carts is Disneyland Toronto’s answer to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train - a family-friendly roller coaster through a favorite childhood story.  The entire attraction is enclosed in a separate small Frozen mini-land on Fantasyland’s far corner, allowing for a perpetual Scandinavian nighttime complete with beautiful Aurora Borealis overhead.  Guests queue through Arendelle castle and board sleds operated by Sven. They set out into the winter wonderland on a journey into the mountains to Queen Elsa’s ice castle.  Along the way guests encounter gorgeous icy scenery, singing Troll animatronics, Marshmallow the gigantic snowman, and lastly Anna, Elsa and Olaf together greeting everyone with song.

Pleasure Island Playground provides young guests with a playground where they can run and jump to their hearts’ content.  It is themed to Pleasure Island from Disney’s Pinocchio, but with that carnival now enlivened by the Blue Fairy’s good magic.  Children can play on interactive sets, interact with marionettes, sing with Jiminy Cricket, slide down Monstro’s tongue, and so much more!

Magic Mirror Theater is a live theater venue themed to Snow White and hosted by the Magic Mirror.  This venue plays stage to a rotation of live musical shows based on the Disney animated canon, with every show emceed by the Mirror.  The theater’s inaugural show is a simple musical revue spanning Disney history, but future shows (including some based on upcoming movies) are already planned.
